Important Dates

September 9th- Application packets will be available with teacher approval for students who are interested in running for a Student Council position

September 17th- Candidate applications for officer and representative positions are due to the classroom teacher. No late submissions accepted.

September 20th- For all students running for a council position, posters (maximum size 12x18) and campaign speech scripts are due to Mrs. Badten OR Mrs. Prince by 3:00pm for clearance. No late submissions accepted.

September 27th- Candidates for officer positions will deliver their speeches in person during assembly.  Class Representatives are to deliver their speeches in their individual classroom.  Voting will take place after lunch via Google Form.

September 27th (after 2:00pm)- Winners will be announced over the loudspeaker. 

Campaign Guidelines

1.Candidates for student council may create one poster by Friday, September 20th, 3:00 p.m. Please submit your poster to Mrs. Badten (Room 5). Posters must be on paper (maximum size 12inchesx18inches).

2. Grades 3-5 will vote in their classrooms both for the class representative position and officer positions. 

3. You may talk to other students about your qualifications and promote your candidacy in a positive way. You may not talk disparagingly about others. Candidates are NOT allowed to distribute campaign materials such as stickers, buttons, candy, etc. Run a clean campaign!
